So much for the lazy, hazy days of summer – it’s conference season, Librarians! No rest for the weary, but the energy and inspiration we get from meeting with our colleagues and attending SLA is always a great experience. Here is this year’s schedule of events from the Transportation, Government, Engineering and Solo divisions, plus the Spotlight Sessions.
Stop by our sponsoring vendors’ booths and thank them for their support (and get some swag!)
Our lead state will be hosting the 2012 annual meeting in St. Louis on Sept. 19-20, 2012 (Wed-Thurs). We will have a full agenda with guests, project updates, a 2 year final report, and a tour of the Gateway Guide – the St. Louis Metro Area’s traffic center that coordinates the Dynamic Message Systems, road sensors, 511 hotline, motorist assist service and so on. It should be a very unique and interesting operation for us to see!
All members and partners are invited to attend this event.
Early bird registration and conference preview for the SLA 2012 Annual Conference is February 27-May 11. SLA members will qualify for the “early bird” rate of $529 during this phase of registration. Please contact Kirsten with your member numbers ASAP.
