Pooled fund members and subcontractors need tools for efficient and thorough cataloging workflow. The Library of Congress Cataloging Distribution Service has two excellent products to assist librarians in producing high quality bibliographic records – Cataloger’s Desktop and Classification Web.

We have three cataloging projects going on this year – Illinois, New Mexico and North Carolina are using pooled funds to get backlog materials cataloged and into their local systems and OCLC. These projects will have a big impact on local access for researchers and resource sharing among libraries.
